New Short Film

•May 22, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Starting on my first short film tonight. Well… thats not entirely true, I have completed a short (very) film that was made through the excellent training material avaliable at 3DBuzz.com (PLUG!!!) Check ‘em out, I implore you.

Anyways, enough of the advertising.

Basically, my short film is more of a test then a full on riviting story worthy of an Oscar nomination. Its to test out my animation and rendering skills (my weakest areas), and also provide some nice filler material for my demo reel.

Story wise, not much happens, though I won’t give it away just yet. But I do hope it will be heart warming and make you feel giddy in the pants. I’ll just say it envolves a robot as the main character.

Here are various concept images by artists much more apt at drawing than I am. Hopefully it helps show the mood and style I am going for here:

So hopefully that is some insight into the look of the robot. Think of all those images jumbled up and made to look ‘cute’ (i.e Pixar-ish)

Better get modelling!
